This thesis introduces three new distributions: the truncated New-XLindley distribution, the two-parameter beta-exponential distribution, and the New-XLindley beta distribu tion. These distributions will be useful additions to the current literature on probability theory and data modeling for actuarial and life sciences. We investigate the moment generating function, order statistics, entropy, and constraint-force reliability of these dis tributions. The unknown parameters associated with these distributions are estimatedusing a variety of methods, such as least squares and maximum likelihood. To illustrate the utility of the proposed models, we apply them to a medical data and other data sets. Our goal is to draw in academics by showcasing the versatility and possible applications of these novel distributions.
