Abstract
This work appears in the global settings of the improvement of the electric energy
quality, it especially has for object the survey of studying of the technology HVDC “High
Voltage Direct Current”, fashion that can compete the AC transmission.
In the first part of this work, we studied a line of alternating current transmission
(220KV). The results gotten show that this fashion of transmission generates specifics effects
on the regimes of working of the line on the whole length.
Used in high tension and on big distances, the transmission as running continuous
could procure a lot of advantage by the report to the one in alternative.
In the second part, we make a studding of HVDC line that it is essentially constituted
of the conversion stations. The results gotten show the efficiency of this fashion of
transmission of the point of view reduction of the tension losses.
On the other hand, this technology poses the problems of the harmonic that are
generated by the internal commutations to the units of conversion and that must be filtered to
not penetrate in the alternative networks with intolerable amplitudes.
Finally, we study the effect of bifurcation of transmission “HVAC-HVDC” in
the quality of energy transmitted.
