In the event of equivalent linear soil behavior caused by a strong earthquake, the soil's stiffness, damping characteristics, and the dynamic response of the structure can be impacted. Thus, this study employs the CALDYNASOIL computational code developed by Sbartai and Filali (2012) to investigate how such equivalent linear soil behavior influences the seismic response of the soil-structure system utilizing a novel approach. Based on the Masing's hyperbolic model (1926), the equivalent linear method was used to examine the nonlinear soil behavior at various levels of deformation (low, medium, and high).
