    Cyclic fatigue behavior in tensile and bending of a glass/epoxy laminated composite material loaded with pure iron powder

    This thesis explores the effects of incorporating pure iron powder as a filler in glass epoxy composite laminates, specifically focusing on its impact on flexural strength, tensile strength, and hardness. The study involved creating laminate plates with varying iron content (15%w, 20%w, and 25%w) and grain sizes (92 ?m, 64 ?m, and 32 ?m) while maintaining a consistent 30%w fiberglass content. To evaluate the mechanical properties of the composite, hardness measurements were conducted on plates with identical iron powder content but different grain sizes, also bending tests were conducted following ISO 14125 standards, using Taguchi's orthogonal array L9 (3 × 3) with iron powder content, grain size, and test speed as factors.
